Electro-Mechanical Technician

Accord Carton is seeking a full-time Electro-Mechanical Technician to work in our Alsip location.

This position will ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Accord Carton machinery and equipment. Our Electro-Mechanical Technicians complete required maintenance and repair safely and timely, procure parts and supplies, and provide technical assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Trouble shoot problems with the production equipment to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Assist machine operators with machine or press preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Schedule and oversee OEM Technicians and maintenance subcontractors when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when working on equipment.
• Maintain neat work area and clean up after repairs.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic equipment.

Experience/Skills:

• Three plus years of mechanical and electrical experience in manufacturing work with industrial equipment.
• Formal training in maintenance and electrical field is highly desired.
• Knowledge of electrical codes.
• Knowledge and ability to trouble shoot PLCs.
• Ability to understand and comply with Company safety programs and OSHA guidelines.
• Physically capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
• Knowledge of and experience working on 480V.
